Inspired by the book Exodus when I was a teenager, influenced by a Jewish flyer who eventually married an aunt of mine and moved by a Jewish colleague several decades ago, I decided to convert to Judaism in my 30s. I have only recently begun to come to terms with being gay, or at the very least bi-sexual. I am fascinated by the varying stances taken byh the different Jewish denominatinons on the issue of welcoming gays into synagogues, ordaining or hiring gay rabbis and cantors and the like. Since being Jewish and practicing some meaningful version of religious Judaism is a very important part of my life in general, it made sense for me to begin seeking out and I hope dating other gay Jewish men who also share other important interests of mine.
